Survival Guide to PASUM Interview :)

Assalamualaikum and hello readers :)
Haha, sebenarnya saya tak pernahlah pulak nak buat
post untuk dikongsi oleh orang ramai..
tapi terdetik nak buat satu blog post neh untuk panduan semua :)

Saya bukan pelajar Pusat Sains Asasi UM pun (PASUM),
tapi saya baru lepas temuduga PASUM dua hari lepas..
Ramai sangat orang.. tapi tak amik gambar sebab cuak :p
Blog student kat sana mesti ada punyalah gambar auditorium dsb.

And mesti ramai gila lah yang temuduga tahun neh share pasal interview UM 2013 yang didaftar under UPU lepasan SPM. Senior2 UM kata benda neh memang baru.
So saya cuba bagitau apa yang saya alami lah~ :)

Nak drive tu cari signboard Pusat Asasi Sains UM..
pastu naik bukit.. parking..
pastu naik tangga.. jalan kaki..

check nama, IC & no telefon anda
(kalau ada pertukaran boleh buat before interview)..

tengok nama tu urutan keberapa dalam 5-6 orang dalam satu group.

Then tengoklah group yg ada nama sendiri tu

{ kumpulan no. berapa + bilik temuduga no. berapa }

Dah settle makan, solat..

bolehlah masuk auditorium,
(besar, sejuk.. mcm dewan kuliah)

Mostly perempuan berbaju kurung, ada je yg pakai kemeja.
Lelaki kemeja lah.

Lepas itu;

1) tandatangan kedatangan.

2) duduk ikut sains hayat/sains fizikal punya tempat.
Hari tu sains hayat duk dekat pintu masuk.

3) kena jawab survey pasal kerjaya dan kemahiran diri. Sila sediakan pen masing-masing..

4) sambil tunggu akan disajikan dengan cerita tontonan umum.

5) kumpulan no. berapa + bilik temuduga no. berapa tadi akan diumumkan
kalau semua ahli kumpulan hadir. dipanggil ikut urutan nama tadi lah.

* Tell me about yourself, in English as much as possible.
* Group discussion, topik apa2 saja. Bahasa BM atau BI. (kena tindak cepat & respect)
* Panel buka sesi pertanyaan.
* Cepu emas: kenapa pilih PASUM, bukan matrix?

So tu lah dia, kronologi nya. Huhu. Here some pics and a link for guidance.
Topik2 tu bolehlah brainstorm, and, link neh jangan copy sebijik-sebijik! Kantoi je...

Tekan link neh, scroll ke bawah untuk contoh jawapan "Tell Me About Yourself"

Plus, thank you to rakan2 sebaya sekolah saya! :D
Diaorang yang banyak share kat fb neh. Tutup for their privacy.

Itu saja. Kalau ada soalan pun,
saya tidak tahu-menahu sangat selain daripada yang tertera.
Hope dapatlah tolong :)

First Time Ever Real Interview Experience!

My telephone wristband is missing! Boohoo :( *Instagram pic, heeeh*
Found 2 days later! Yeay :')
Frankly saying.. I wasn't much ready for UM Science Foundation Centre interview actually.
I was enjoyed watching medic-based Youtube videos, that share secrets to US medical school? Haha, see how far are those to relate with Life Science Foundation here! Weird me, so scared to face interview. And fortunately.. I did survey "Tell me about yourself" Q's and the A's. I will state the link later for the next.

Bringing doctorjob.com A-Z guide book and some of my fast, murky handwritten notes in two of my school notebooks, as I was hoping to read 'em in my car. But lol, I arranged my 8 extra things in this yellow doc file, thinking as if the panels are very, very choosy. Right after raising my head from looking down.. "Gosh, am I dreaminggggg?!" And yeah, I arrived. Looking around.. seeing UM logo. "Probably I could use the time revising inside..."

NOT. Everybody in the hall was chilling, just filling the yellow paper of survey only! Like oh my nerves... how am I gonna do this? I didn't take out my books. I would be a shame! Boring, got nothing to do. Requested RM1 from my dad but it was all RM0.00 left in my phone maybe because I didn't switched off my data. That was sick!

Whilst waiting, how could they ever play a movie on the big screen? Pfftt. We were all shivering and odd feelings ran through our veins! What if some dudes/girls were distracted by that and soon forgot how to answer? If they played soft music, it will be great. Why this not included in the survey form huh? Hm, I am sorry for this but I was so nervous that time, tried to bring serious mood to the inside..

My interview group members, all of them are awesome! I want to meet them again! The interview members are sorted out by alphabetical order. So all of my group got the name Wan as first name! Hehe :D All are extremely excited to say when we asked about names, "Lah, kita semua Wan kan kat sini?!" Hahaha. Seriously, it's difficult to have all 4 people named Wan sitting in a row. I just had entered KKB and I noticed 4 Wan are in my batch, too. But not sitting and knowing each other so friendly! <3 One of us was making a convince to enter PASUM as her mother is working there... awh, lucky her! Then, we're all chatting..like we knew for a long time. Hehe. That time was two girls at my right who started. One of the girls was from MJSC Beseri. Forgot to ask about Syahir my classmate the Jebon.. hohoho. No offence, bro.

So all five people entered the interview room. Only one was a guy and others were girls. The guy was incredible! Got 8A+ and 1A, that A is Physics. He was only from a government school! Maaaan, super jealous! My parents got a serious deep conversation about this... why does my PKP junior science college not focusing much into high quality and consistent teaching from the start until the end? Not to make the student spoiled, but to make us understand each of subtopic existed in every subjects..and then it comes to our efforts to revise. People will expect that my smart school will achieve 80-90% of students to get straight A's for SPM result as if this thing is done.

Interview time... I am really sure that right after we're chatting, we kinda have one heart. Chewah. Idk, because when the group discussion starts, one start elaborated... then all of us elaborated and giving examples all the way around. Then all of us like oooh... and nodding.. and switching person by person for explanation... and then... we're silent... all of the sudden! Hahahaha. Too much of expressing instances! After that, the only man standing (not standing lah, we were all sitting) warned us about creating new reality TV show. Haha. The panels must be saying "FINALLY." LOL. Overall, the students are outstanding! All of them are super duper fast to give out opinions... wow, just wow. I'm impressed! I just able to say twice or thrice, but just giving decisions to change, not to create.

It was about to come to the end.. Me and the guy were busted about matriculation and PASUM. I said the syllabus in matrix is much more easier.. then I could see the professor was grinning and the shoulders raised up! Oh my goodness!!! I was shocked as freak. Then I covered up saying PASUM got a lot more university-related experience.. then what I saw just a pokerface. Sobs. Another thing is, duration. He told that PASUM is for two years... but actually it is a year, same like matrix. Gah, all of us were like d'oh >.<

Haha. Soooo we the PASUM students-to-be are waiting for the result in two weeks time, as the guy (again) asked when the interviewers allow us to ask. But really.. all of them did very well! I wish like they are my friends though. We just became acquaintances for 30 minutes but discussing like knowing for ages!

My first real college interview was not bad after all :)

So little time.

Assalamualaikum! :)

Now is 2 months after recieving SPM results slip. Ain said we should take SPM cert which is the different one compared to the slip. Same goes with PMR, it has cert, too. But *groan* this thing takes time! Alhamdulillah, I am really, really unexpecting to get well in SPM :') I am really thankful for what I got... All praises to Allah for giving me the best for me, whatever it is.. I watched Buletin Utama the night of the result day, a straight A+'s girl wearing a long veil said, "This is all the test from Allah." Yes, I am absolutely agreed and that statement kinda aware me a lot.. Don't whine for not getting what we couldn't get, and don't be too proud for getting what we got! All these, good time and bad time, are to experiment us as His creation, whether to go back to Him or not. Masya Allah, may iman stick to us forever.

And thank goodness I did meet some of my friends and teachers for awhile. But I didn't talk to my deskmate, study mate, forever mate, Zana... tsk tsk.. I just greeted in the Student's "blue planet" for few seconds, I got time to see her braces for sometime Hehe and I was about to go back to kampung. So sad doh! Haihhhh :( I came late to take my result, then went back early. My parents was having fever that time, right after umrah. They're recovered after a month. Woah, what a fever! Alhamdulillah, nothing bad happens. I just met Basirah, Huda, Tasya, Mek, Najah.. so many lah. Then, teachers.. I just met on the SPM 2013 Awards. But not all :( Luckily my mum supported me to buy a decoration gift for each Form 4 and Form 5 teachers :D They would say no for gifts but that's the way I could say thank you to all of my teachers as if I didn't got time to meet... I wanna meet all of my friends and teachers so bad! Tsk tsk tsk.

And I admit.. the time for us, MJSC students starting from year 2008,
to spend time more with our family is so short! :'(

You see.. I was a nerdy, geeky girl with silly bent round-shaped scratched spectacles struggled so much for UPSR. I even told to stay focus than to help my mom in kitchen while my other siblings were  helping *yeah, I retell.* That's the year of exam. Before that, umm idk, I kinda forget.

But then, I went to two boarding schools for 5 YEARS. I went back home followed by a schedule. I think I could run from school tasks but bam! Piles of homework to be done! I did remembered carrying like, 3-4 kg of books I guess! Finishing stacks of exercise papers, bla bla bla.. Then what did I do during leisure time? Internet surfin'. Hmmm 21st century people... And yeah, I did created too much social websites.. stucked on this at first, Tumblr, Facebook thennnn Twitter and Instagram. lol. Now currently I am fangirling as Directioner and Gapper a lot :3

I was roughly counting, I got 8 months of free time. Now I just have half of it! Woah. Half used for leisure time only, I do confidently admit this. And I think throughout this time... I am warned by my parents for two times, including the recent one, on the day before my first time real interview. So p/s for these warnings, complete all chores first... avoid telling excuses... and repair myself; learn more about life skills and religion...

Thus, now, I only got 4 months to spend my time with my family :(
I feel no worth though. It's not the same with 5 years.
8 months are not equivalent to 5x12 = 60 months -.-
Oh! I just noticed... 1 month is like 5 years of me staying at home.
No wonder I MUST spending so much time with my family. Gosh why? I wanna stay here. I wanna see my family's face. But as a mother, I know what my mom will answer and yeah, she did answer what I expect. Accepting my educational pathway at further places... sigh.
Therefore, we, the students have to study because of this is our responsibility! Fisabilillah as for Muslims. We live on Earth because everything is for The Creator.

This year, 2013, is the 12th years of General Election :) All the best for all Malaysians! And all the best for one of my maternal family members.. he did good for my family for lots and lots of things.. since all of us were so young and the time I was born. Thank you, Ayah Uda and family :')

Before I end this post of mine..
may I take your time to pray, do'a for my Taiping friend, Zana and her family please?
They were involved in an accident, on a rainy day. The car looks very awful but my goodness, I am totally shocked... Her family are all okay but herself. She injured from the inside, at the head and right side of upper body.
She's now doing some medical checkups first.
I was crying so bad the night I was being told ;'(
Hope everything will be fine..
